Fresh start!

I have really been neglecting this blog and I'm so sorry to all my followers. So I wanted to update my blog as well since a lot of you look for my new stuff on here!  So I'll start off with Kiddie cakes!

Princess Bride

My best friend is getting married and she had mentioned a while ago that she would like a princess cake. So I decided this would be a perfect time to do that. Her favorite cake is strawberry so that is what I made. I used my airbrush to add a little sparkle to it!

I can't wait too see the bride on her special day!

Zoe-Lynn Turns 2!

There is one child who has won my heart and her name is Zoe-Lynn! We celebrated her birthday party yesterday and we had such a great time. She obviously has a taste for my cakes since I have been making cakes for her since before she was even born. This was a strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream and covered with buttercream flavored fondant. She seemed to love it! Happy birthday stinky minky!!

My biggest cake yet!!

My cousin just got married and I wanted to make them a really special wedding gift and here it is! This is my largest cake to date and I love the way it turned out. It was almost 3ft tall!! The flavors of the cake, starting from the bottom tier, are red velvet, dulce de leche with a caramel buttercream, white cake with chocolate hazelnut cream and the top two are white cake with vanilla buttercream.

Carrot cake

Hiding under all this delicious cream cheese icing is a yummy carrot cake! I have been trying out recipes that I have never made before and carrot cake was one of them. This was the second version that I adjusted a little bit and it was exactly what I was looking for..soooo good! It was the perfect Easter treat! I also made a red velvet cake recently which was also delish! That one disappeared too fast to get a pic..haha!

Busy October!

I had lots of baking to do this month and I really enjoyed it! My son on the other hand did not enjoy me being so busy since he really enjoys his mommy time. He was very good for me though while I was baking away in the kitchen. I let him make some cookies while I was making the wedding cake and he wore one of my aprons but I was not allowed to take his picture..haha! He even closed the blinds in our kitchen because he couldn't have anyone see him!

All of the cakes I made this month were pretty special. I'm so thankful that I get to be a part of special times in friends lives in an extra special way with my cakes...it's really cool!

Carter turned 1 today and he had a nice little party to celebrate his big day! We all enjoyed great food and fun and of course cake!

Dina and Jonathan's wedding cake. This was a whole lot of cake and all different flavors! The bride loved it..which made my day! Congrats Dina and Jonathan!

My baby boy is 5 now!

Tyler is 5 now and I really cannot believe it! So for his birthday we had the hardest time getting him to choose what kind of cake he wanted. When he finally figured it out it was no easy order! His final choice was a Batman monster truck cake. So my husband and I brainstormed and figure out we were gonna need tools for this cake. Mike built a base for the cake so that it would stand taller and look like an actual monster truck and I love the way it turned out! It's doing a wheelie!!

Zoe-Lynn Turns 1!

Wow it seems like just yesterday I was making Courtney's baby shower cake for her little girl that she was waiting so patiently for. Now Zoe-Lynn is 1 year old! Wow! She is just the cutest little thing... so of course her mama wanted her adorable self to be on her cake and this princess wouldn't have a complete birthday party without her own little personal cake. So that is just what she got! HAPPY 1St BIRTHDAY ZOE!!
