First time making iced sugar cookies..I LOVE THEM!!

These cookies ended up coming out beautiful!! Both the cake and cookies were for a bridal shower and I was very happy with how everything turned out!

This cake had a chocolate buttercream and was a white cake with a strawberry cream filling..mmmm! I was going for a chocolate covered strawberry taste.

A little variety!

What I've been up to...

I have been keeping busy with cakes lately. The cakes shown include a mad hatter's 21st birthday cake, Halloween cupcakes, my lovely aunt's 40th birthday cake and a baby shower cake. I absolutely love seeing how my cakes turn out..especially when they are better than I imagined!

Simple and Sweet

I am honored to say that I have been asked to be the maid of honor in our friend's wedding. So being that I am the maid..or excuse me..matron of honor, I hosted a bridal shower for Nicole. I had lots of stuff to get done so I decided that I was going to make this cake very simple. It was the yummy yellow cake again in a 2 layer, 9 inch cake. I got a little help from my favorite baking store and got this lovely edible floral piece and just made sure the cake was delicious. I also made some white chocolate lollipops that I forgot to take picture of. They were really cute and I heard the groom to be really enjoyed them!

Oh how my kids LOVE SpongeBob! For my little boy's 4th birthday, he decided he wanted a SpongeBob cake. So that's what Mommy made! I actually drew this by looking at a picture and I must say I'm impressed because I am the most non artistic person ever! I mean it is only a sponge but..hey, that's one good sponge!

So not only was this a cute cake but it was really yummy. I tried a new recipe for a yellow cake and it was so good. The icing came out really fluffy too. I will definitely be making this recipe again.
